Witch Hazel is a recurring villain in the Looney Tunes franchise. She first appeared in the "Bewitched Bunny." The short was a parody on the classic fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. In the short Witch Hazel plays the witch who want to cook and eat the children. Bugs Bunny however sees the witch luring the kids inside her house and save the kids. At first the witch is angry until she sees that Bugs is a rabbit which is the missing ingredient for her witches brew. In the end Bugs uses her own magic against her and turns her into a sexy female rabbit.

She later appeared in "Broom-Stick Bunny." This cartoon begins with Bugs trick or treating in a witch costume. When Bugs comes to the house of Witch Hazel she thinks that Bugs is an actual witch. Upset that this newcomer is uglier than her she invites Bugs inside for some "pretty potion" disguised as tea but when Bugs takes off his mask to drink Witch Hazel discovers that he is a rabbit and it just so happens that rabbit is the missing ingredient in her witches brew. In the end Hazel ends up taking the pretty potion a fate worse than death for a witch.

Bugs and Hazel would be pitted against each other one last time in "A Witch's Tangled Hair" where once again rabbit is the missing ingredient in her brew and Bugs is in the area. Meanwhile a William Shakespeare look alike observes the two in search of inspiration.

Hazel has made many cameo appearances in other Looney Tunes works. She was on the Looney Tune's basketball team in Space Jam. She was also in one of episode each of the shows Duck Dodgers and The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. She was also a boss in the video game Bugs Bunny : Lost In Time
